Last Friday 3 C’s!

Best Buds
Side note: My husband gets B-man ready for bed, which means his pajamas almost never match.

Cares:
Labor Day is upon us. Which means summer is over and so is my summer blogging schedule.

Today will be the last of Friday 3 C’s. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading and enjoyed sharing. I’ve loved the little glimpses into your lives.

I’ll be taking Labor Day off to enjoy time with the family and will resume regular posting on Wednesday.

But I’m going to change things up a bit. My attempt to stay relevant without losing my mind.

Here’s the slightly altered blogging program:

Mondays – insights for the writing journey

Wednesday – reflections on faith, adoption, love, and life

Friday – Friday Favorites. Links to my favorite blog posts from the week.

Concerns:
I’ve had a headache for six days in a row. I’m not even kidding. But hey, if that’s my only concern, then I really have nothing to complain about!

Celebrations:
You can win a free, signed copy of Wildflowers from Winter on Maria Morgan’s blog. If you already have a copy, doesn’t mean you can’t win another to give away as a gift!

I would absolutely love to send you a welcome packet if you haven’t already signed up for one! The sign up button is up top.

I have a new page on my website called Facebook Fun, in which I share my Facebook game plan. If you’re a writer, I highly recommend having a game plan when it comes to that tricky Facebook Page.

My virtual bookshelf is all up to date!

Let’s Talk: What are your cares, concerns, and celebrations this week? Any fun Labor Day plans?

A black lab! Aren’t they just wonderful?

  2. I need a game plan! lol Not too good at setting them up or following through though.
My concern is a severely sprained ankle and the onset of some kind of sinus infection/cold. btw, my step-sis had a headache like that for days and they said she had a sinus infection…so be careful. *hugs*

  3. Mismatched PJ’s? Meh, be glad they’re ON him!!

    Celebrations-see cares.

    Have a swell weekend everyone!

  4. Yucky headaches. I deal with those too. Blah.

Cares: Trying to balance writing my new WIP with prepping for ACFW.

Concerns: Dealing with insurance issues. Basically, I was in a small car accident last Friday and it was totally the other person’s fault, but their insurance is claiming it was mine. Can’t people just be hoenst?

Celebrations: Hardly anything going on this weekend. Lots of time to write, read, and relax. Woot!

  5. Katie,

The 3 C’s have been great fun! Thank you for motivating us all to be vulnerable and connected.

Cares: I have queries out. You understand.
Concerns: I have queries out. You understand.
Celebrations: I have queries out. And that is a great reason to celebrate.

Praying for your head-ache. Loved the pics of B-man in his mismatched PJs enjoying his air-time on FB….

    Blessings,
    Becky

  6. Sorry about your headache. Ick! And your kiddo is such a cutie pie! Love seeing his pics.

I’m concerned and care about my back. Once again, I’ve thrown it out.

I’m celebrating a long weekend with my family doing a whole lot of nothing!

  7. Ah man, a headache for six days. That stinks! Prayers!

Like Jill, my three C’s are mostly directed at celebration, too. I have Saturday through Tuesday off work. Praise Jesus for four days of freedom!!! I see many bubble baths and hours of relaxed writing in my future… πŸ™‚

  8. So sorry about the never-ending headache, Katie. Will pray for that to go away.

Three C’s? Mostly celebrating. My kids started new schools and it’s going really well. My Internet is fixed so I can actually go back to normal trolling! And I’m finishing up pesky writing-related projects. So–I’m happy!

    Have a relaxing weekend!

  9. Hi Katie,

Love this three Cs day. Will miss it. But I’m excited for what’s coming. Will check out your FB ideas.

I will pray for your head.

Cares: My body shows signs of aging every day. πŸ˜‰
    Concerns: church stuff
Celebrations: I started my WIP this week and somehow I’ve already nailed 10K. Crazy! Loving it! Anniversary is coming up.

You are CRAZY prolific, woman. It makes my head spin!

  10. Oh, and I just checked out your bookshelf, and I’m amazed at how similar our reads are. From the YA choices our faves. Can’t wait to see what you think about Delirium.

    1. Katie Ganshert

Can’t wait to read it! I have a whole list of YA books I want to read. πŸ™‚

  11. Hi, Katie! Love the new Facebook plan. I was just recently studying how a self-published author promoted herself to eventually land her really good book on the New York Times bestseller list. She said she mainly ran the slow and steady race by connecting with readers on Twitter and Facebook. She really emphasized how much she used Facebook. I found that truly interesting.

Sorry about your six-day headache. I know how that feels. Yuck! I’m actually wondering if I’ll be joining you as Hurricane Isaac makes his way toward Kentucky today. That kind of pressure is never nice on my head.
