ACFW Bound?

Okay, so every year this happens.

I go to ACFW looking forward to meeting and chatting with all the amazing people I meet online.

Inevitably, I get home and learn that all these wonderful people I know from this here blog were at ACFW but I never got to meet them.

This year, I’m determined not to let this happen.

So before I ask my questions, will you make me a promise?

If you see me at the ACFW conference and I’m experiencing tunnel vision (something I’ve suffered from my entire life), will you please wave your hand in my face and say hello? I’m a big hugger, so if that scares you, I apologize in advance.

Let’s Talk: Are you going to ACFW? Who are you rooming with? Do you have any weird sleeping habits? What are your goals this year?

I’m rooming with Jeannie Campbell, Janice Boekhoff, and Carol-award nominee, Meg Moseley. Occasionally, I have been known to make this rather loud bull frog noise in my sleep. Last year, Jeannie Campbell thought I was dying.

My goal this year is to be a blessing to as many people as possible, spread the word about my debut novel and my upcoming release, and have all matter of fun.

  3. Hi Katie,

This is my first conference. I hope I see you because I’m probably going to need a hug.

I’m rooming with Kelly Liberto, a lady I met from my crit group. As in met online only. I hope she likes me. She seems really nice, and I’m so glad she agreed to room with me.

I hope I see you in Dallas!

    Joyfully,
    Jackie

    P.S. I haven’t packed a thing yet.

  8. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I am FINALLY going to ACFW again… and I am FINALLY as of this morning EXCITED!!!

With book launch, I’d barely even thought about it. And to be honest, I kept fearing something would happen with Annabelle and I wouldn’t be able to go, so didn’t let myself get too excited (NOT LIKE ME, i’m usually an eternal optimist!)

But today… as I start to pack and actually get ready for ACFW, I’m finally getting EXCITED!!!!

I’m rooming with some alleycats from thewritersalley, SO EXCITED about that. We got a couple different rooms, so HA, I’ve been so out of it I don’t remember for sure who I’m bunking with! How bad is that! I told them as long as I have a pillow and blanket and access to a shower, I’m good! πŸ™‚

You better reserve a hug for me, girl!!! πŸ™‚

  9. I can’t wait to see everyone!! I’m rooming with Bonnie Calhoun. I don’t have any weird sleeping habits, at least none anyone has ever told me about. Okay, once in a great while, I snore ~ but softly!

My goals are the same as each year: to be ever growing in my craft and get a contract.

  10. Yay, can’t wait to meet you. I’m rooming with Ruth Douthitt and Gabrielle Meyer. I don’t think I talk in my sleep. πŸ˜›

  11. TRY to have fun. And bring ear plugs for the roomies. I know I’ll be bringing some for my roomies next year!!

  12. Katie, I wish. But have a great time πŸ™‚

  13. I’m looking forward to receiving one of your hugs, Katie. I have the privilege of rooming with Sarah Forgrave. Gwynly tells me I do talk in my sleep from time to time, but as far as I know I don’t do bullfrog impersonations. Cats, perhaps, but not frogs. =)
