An October Pinterest War: Final Battle

mummy challengeI think our talent stops with hotdogs.

This final battle in the Fall Pinterest War between good friend and fellow author, Becky Wade, seemed simple enough.

In theory.Β

These bad boys are supposed to resemble mummies.Β

Who did the best rendition?

That’s up to you!

For a chance to win some yummy Starbucks coffee, go ahead and vote – #1 or #2.

Becky and I will announce whose mummies received the most votes on Friday, as well as the winner of the coffee!

And in case you missed it on Facebook last week, here were the results of our pumpkin carving battle:

Becky’s pumpkin won by a very narrow margin and got to wear the crown:

The good news is, I’m sending my medical bills for my wrist tendinitis to the winner. Seriously readers, thanks for making these so much fun by participating! Becky and I have decided we have the coolest, most fun readers around!

Let’s Talk: What say you – which hotdog mummy wins?

  1. These Pinterest wars have been just plain FUN!

I have to vote #1 on the “mummies” there. πŸ™‚
Love Brooke’s comment above on #2! Haha!

  2. Renee Taylor

#1, is my vote. But #2 is hilarious!!!

  3. Perhaps #2 represents Jesus as he burst forth from the tomb … you know, leaving His mummy wrapping behind? πŸ™‚

Even though I haven’t commented, I’ve really enjoyed watching the war!

  4. Kirsten

I also think #1 is the winner. But kudos to #2 for trying so hard. πŸ˜‰

  5. Number 2 made me laugh the most….but I think #1 was the closest!

  6. Yes, Jeannie!!! I knew the mummies on #1 looked familiar. You’re exactly right about the resemblance to Junior Asparagus. Hilarious! πŸ™‚

And Gabrielle, you weren’t the first person to think that our hot dog mummies looked like hot dog babies. Not sure which of those two sounds more edible….

How was it that we were pumpkin carving geniuses, Katie, and hot dog mummy remedial students?

  7. Have to laugh at #2. I can just see one of ya’ll seriously trying to pick the best three to put on the plate, and those were them. Say what? That third mummy sure has a gimped-up wrapping job. And on #1…the top right mummy looks a lot like Junior Asparagus on Veggie Tales. Quite adorable, really. πŸ™‚ Good luck you two.

  8. I vote #1 πŸ™‚ Good try for #2 though! (I thought both the pumpkins did well last week. It was hard to choose!)

  9. Polly Schneider

I think #1 is my choice. I liked the eyes. πŸ™‚ But keep up the good work #2.

  10. Um, this made me laugh SO much. πŸ™‚ I think I have to go with #1, but both made me smile…so everyone’s a winer. Haha!!

  11. I have to say I like number one–but when I first saw the picture it looked like a row of babies! Mummies makes more sense!! πŸ™‚ This has been fun.
