3 C’s

It’s Friday, so you know what that means. Time for some 3 C’s!

Cares:
Brogan does this new thing that melts my heart. He crawls to me when he’s tired and after I pick him up, he lays his chubby little cheek on my shoulder. It takes my breath away every time.

Brogan’s eye doctor said he needs glasses. He got fitted for them and should get his very own pair next week. He’s going to be my little four-eyed cuddly bear.

Concerns:
How am I going to keep glasses on an eight-month old squirmy little boy?

Celebrations:
I talked to a very helpful lawyer on the telephone and he told me almost everything I need to know about buying out a business (info for my new WIP).

The prewriting for my WIP is chugging right along. I’m super excited about the hero and heroine.

My sister-in-law read Beneath a Velvet Sky in a day and a half. She is such an encouragement to me.

I’m excited about next Monday and Wednesday’s posts from my Dwight Swain series. Good stuff coming your way, very soon!

Question to Ponder: What are your cares, concerns, and celebrations on this gorgeous Friday morning?

I feel ya Tabitha! I haven't started querying yet, although I will be in about two months….YIKES!

I'll be praying for you Jody. I can imagine this wait is killing you. I would be jumping out of my skin, I think.

Great news about the query letter, Tara! And his glasses have these little things that curl around his ears, so they should (and I stress "should") stay on…that is, if he's not yanking them off. πŸ™‚

Cares: About my two beautiful boys and the joys they bring into my world.
Concerns: When's the right time to query an agent???? How do I know my book is ready???? What's going to happen with the competition I entered the book in? NEED.TO. KNOW πŸ™‚
Celebrations: I think I may have found the right agent to query about my work.
Oh, and my youngest is finally putting together mostly understandable phrases!

Concern: Needing continued patience for the "in limbo" stages of the publishing process. I suppose there will always be something or other that we have to wait for in our writing careers! Might as well get use to it, right?

Your little guy will look so cute! When my boys were little, I used to put the Build-a-Bear glasses on them. I'd suggest an adjustable strap.

Celebrations: I figured out the opening for my query. Yeah!

Erica – you can do it! I'll be your little encourager! You are getting so close. And HOW exciting about the cover art. I can't wait to see it, just like I can't wait to read the rest of the book!!!

Glad to have you Heather! Thanks for visiting. Are you a teacher? The reason I ask is because you said you're enjoying time off over the summer. I teach and I live for the summers…mainly because I love being a mom and a writer and summers give me the time to do both well. And congrats on the blog award!

Hi, Katie. I just came over from Cindy Wilson's blog. Congratulations on your award. I look forward to looking around your blog.

Cares: I've really enjoyed my time off from work this summer – writing and spending time with the kids.

Concerns: My husband has a week-long business trip coming up. We will miss him.

Celebrations: Superior Scribbler Award from Cindy was a highlight of my day – it's nice to touch someone when you write.

Jessica – talk to a lawyer! They know everything. πŸ™‚ At least the guy I talked with did. Very knowledgable and helpful. And you should definitely enter the contest. There are a lot of great entries!

Jeannette – what a good concern that would be, though, right? How fun if they requested fulls! I'll pray that your son finds a job! And yay for facebook..just be careful, it can be addicting!

Sherrinda – I hear ya! I LOVE having the summers off. I'm already sort of mourning the fact that I only have three weeks left of mine!

Marybeth – I'll say a prayer for your family. Financial difficulties are never fun. What kind of job? And how sweet about your daughter – happy reunion!

Care: my son starting a new life in Los Angeles. That he get a job soon.

Concerns: What am i gonna do if the agent and editor i've sent book proposals to want the full ms.? Yikes! I'll be writing, editing and revising til Jesus returns!

Celebrations: I finally signed up for Face Book!

I think babies with glasses are adorable! My cousin Candy had glasses when she was four, and they corrected her eyes. Hope this is true for Brogan.

Oooh, I need some info on buying out a business, and how leases work, etc. I didn't know you were having a contest so I think I'll enter. LOL
