Friday Favorite: A Song

Friday FavoritesFear has been rearing it’s head in my life as of late, so today’s Friday Favorite is a song that’s been ministering to me in such an amazing way.

I love the message Chris Tomlin has for his listeners.

“We live in a time of panic, and fear, and a time of anxiety. People feel so much coming at them. From every way, we feel surrounded with so many troubles. My heart is when people hear this song, that their eyes would be opened, to realize what’s really going on. That those who are for us are more than those who are against us.”

Feeling afraid? Want some powerful, triumphant truth?

Check out 2 Kings, chapter 6 and read who our God is–a God of angel armies. A God who holds the whole world in His hand. Whom shall we fear?

I hope this song encourages you as much as it’s been encouraging me! Check out the “making of” Whom Shall I Fear, and then enjoy the song!

Let’s Talk: What’s a favorite from your week? If it’s a video or a blog post, please share the link in the comments!

  1. I like this a lot, Katie! We all need reminders of how great God is in comparison to our circumstances.

  2. This is a great song. I am the worship leader at my church and we just introduced that song last week. So powerful.

So beautiful Katie! Thanks so much. I really needed to hear this one too.

  4. Katie, I just bought the “Burning Lights” CD a few days ago and it’s MIRACULOUS! I’ve loved “Whom Shall I Fear?” since its release, and being in a “place of transition” myself, I’ll speak the chorus to myself when I start getting anxious.

Another great reinforcer of God’s faithfulness to us: “You are I Am” by MercyMe.

  5. That’s an awesome song, Katie.

My favorite this week was hanging out with my family yesterday. I was in my hometown for a quick photo shoot, so afterwards, I had dinner at my parents’, played games, watched a movie (during which I fell asleep, as always) and then had breakfast and coffee with them this morning before heading back to Des Moines. Such a nice time!

  6. My favorite is beautiful video from Beth Moore’s Living Proof Ministries “Deeper Still” conference, the one that took place in Birmingham, Alabama!

The video shows captivating photography from the event and is set to the song “Jesus Saves” by Travis Cottrell!

It is so beautiful and breathtaking! ๐Ÿ™‚

Bless you for sharing, Alexis! I love Beth Moore and the video truly is beautiful. I’ve seen a video like this one before but for a different LPM conference… Travis Cottrell has a gift.

I’m so glad, Katie! It’s a powerful truth, straight from Scripture. Let’s stand firm on His truth today and tell Satan to step off. ๐Ÿ˜€
