Cares:
I’m reading Numbers in the Bible and I have a deep admiration for Joshua and Caleb. Talk about two men who trusted in God completely. I want my faith to look like theirs.
I’m getting into more of a routine. The second week of school wasn’t as tiring as the first. I’m hoping the trend continues. Missing Brogan will never go away, but our daycare provider sends pictures and videos via email, which makes being away from him easier. And the fact that he’s only two minutes from my school helps a lot too.
I had Curriculum and Information Night last night with my students’ parents. It went very well, but I didn’t get home until 8:30 PM. I’m very thankful it’s Friday. I’m tired.
Concerns:
Getting my pitch ready for the ACFW conference, which is in *gulp* three and a half weeks.
Ryan’s back hurts. Not a good thing for his line of work
Celebrations:
I had a major breakthrough with my outline for Wishing on Willows. Things are jelling. Things are flowing. It’s the BEST feeling!
I ordered Writing the Breakout Novel Workbook off Amazon two days ago and it came in the mail today. Talk about timely service. I’m very eager to start working through it and to share what I’ve learned.
Question to Ponder: What are your cares, concerns, and celebrations on this sleepy Friday morning?
Thanks so much everybody, for sharing your 3 C's! I look forward to Fridays and weekends becuase I love to hear how life is treating you all. My prayers go out to you for your concerns and I rejoice with for your celebrations! Thanks for sharing! π
Glad to see the routine is working out, and I think your daycare provider sounds awesome. Sometimes being a working mom makes you feel like your heart is torn in two. And congrats on the outline.
I'm glad school is getting better and your child is adjusting:)

Celebration- finished my synopsis
Cares–good friend ended up in the hospital last night with heart problems
Cares:
I just learned that a dear old friend is in hospital with terminal cancer. I pray her final days will be filled with peace and not pain.
Concern:
Precious time is slipping away and I haven't accomplished my writing or reading goals for the summer. I wouldn't feel so guilty if there was a valid excuse but I've just been frittering away the days. Now I have less than one free week left so I really need to focus and use it to good advantage.
I'm glad to hear your latest wip is going well. π
Celebration:
I'm celebrating family. Our three married children and their youngsters surprised us by being here for a pre-anniversary visit last Friday night when we arrived home from our vacation — sixteen of us together in one place for the first time in six years. It was such a blessing! I didn't have to lift a finger. They went shopping for groceries and gifts, made all the meals and did all the cleanup. Two of the three had to leave Sunday afternoon, but the other just left yesterday. It was a wonderful few days but now I'm suffering serious withdrawal pangs! π
Carol
that workbook is good.
Good for you about the new novel. That work book sounds fantastic. I'd love a list of the writing books you have. They all sound amazing. I'd love to come and take your bookshelf home:)
Cares and concerns? Hmmm… my son has been really REALLY naughty this week at school. How fun for mummy! Not. I have been meeting with the teacher EVERY afternoon. The trouble is that my son is a passionate child with way too many words in his head (meaning, he says what he feels in the heat of an arguement!) I don't know where he got that from!?! We are working with him on self control…. STILL working with him !
On the up side, it is the weekend here. Yeah. And I have boxing today so I can go hit stuff and let go of all that frustration π
Have a great weekend with your family. God bless!
So awesome about your outline! π Also, Donald Maass really knows his stuff, so good call on that book!
I'm glad your WIP is jelling! I'm outlining today so my three C's are
Care: I hope I get the house work done and make my hubby smile!
Concern: I hope the agents that have my proposals will like what they are reading.
Celebration: I am celebrating God's beauty and plan for my life. I'm so in love with Jesus, aren't I blessed?
Mostly just celebrations this week! Got back from a trip to a healthy family, a nearly finished remodeled kitchen, a new outlook on a few relationships and finances, and friends visiting with their new baby.
Hi, Katie,
Hmmm. Celebration 1: Book Two revision is going well. Fun to see it slim down and gain impact.
Celebration 2: House sale looks like it *will* go final on 4 September.
Concerns: I'm too fat. Newly retired and at home around food all day. Still, no excuse. Can't seem to stop the trend. Grrrr.
Best Regards, Galen

Yay that things are adjusting for you, and π about your husband's back. With all the lifting he does, that can't be very pleasant.

Oh, I'm so glad everything is falling into place for you. π And how cool that you can "see" Brogan throughout the day! π
Celebrations: Everyone is healthy and five o'clock isn't so blurry for me anymore. LOL
Cares: The conference. LOL
Concerns: Show Me the Money! Well, not really, but just that we'd be able to cover bills since the economy is starting to affect hubby's job. I stay at home so I'm trying to think of ways I can help with this.
Hey Katie!
Bad night to try calling you, eh? Stinks you had to be at work so late. Perhaps we can get in touch tonight or tomorrow!
Cares: Joel and Taylor are camping in MI and I wish I was there with them. I miss my pup…and my hubby, too. π ha. But there is a little part of me that's also enjoying having the house to myself!
Concerns: 8 months TTC…nuff said.
Celebrations: It's Friday and that means I'm going to the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend, Kate. Talk to you soon!
Love, H
Cares: I've got my muse back…but I'm not sure how to apply her. I hope I figure it out soon

Celebrations:I'm building my first website and it's a blast!!! Might have just found myself a side job π
Have a great weekend Katie! I hope it's relaxing.

Cares: Making the last week+ of summer meaningful for my children.
Concerns: My dad…

Have a good weekend! Happy Friday!
