Cares:
I have a care. I have lots of cares. Probably the most pressing one is keeping my eyes focused on Jesus, no matter what season I may be passing through.
Concerns:
My son has somehow become a Hawkeye fan. The other day he woke up and pointed to the footballs on his bedspread and said, “Go Hawkeyes!” I raised my hands in the air and said, “Go Badgers!” He looked at me for a little bit and said, “Go Hawkeyes!” Then I started chanting, “Bad-gers, Bad-gers, Bad-gers…” He interrupted my fourth Badger with a very determined, “No.” My family has brainwashed him.
Celebrations:
Got a very encouraging email this week.
Where does time go? Almost two years ago, I was busy doing this:
A year later, I was celebrating this:
And now, we have this:
I can’t believe my little man will be two whole fingers tomorrow. We’re bringing him to the pumpkin patch in the morning (he’s obsessed with pumpkins) and then we’re celebrating with family later in the evening with pizza and a Thomas the Train cake. The Badgers also play the Hawks, so it’ll be funny to see who he cheers for.
Question to Ponder: What are your cares, concerns, and celebrations today?
I'm delighted to have found you, we have much in common. I rejoiced outloud when I read you too are trying to be faithful to Jesus, mom, writer and DON'T cook well! Me either, but with all my kiddo's I've got to try. That's always my concern.
My care at the moment is struggling to do "what I can" not what I think I "SHOULD". Gosh that sounds wierd. I'm an overachiever and have a task list 10 miles long but what I desire is to be more like Jesus and raise my children to be passionate.
Celebrate that God always meets us where we are. Introducing new friends, bring old one's along side us to get us through the muck. π
So nice to meet you.
Jessie

Hi katie –
He's so adorable!
My cares: The job situation.
My concerns: Waiting to hear from the agent.
My celebrations: My stepson and daughter-in-law are coming for dinner on Sunday. Yay!
Blessings,
Susan π
Awww, the little man is getting so big! And I love the hair…the color is beautiful!
My cares are getting ready for NaNo. I have a week to get it all together, to plot, to plan, to gear up. I don't know why I'm nervous. π
Oh my gosh! Look at the little man–he's the cutest thing EVER! Happy birthday to him π
Cares: Ugh. A cold–and feeling a little under the weather.
Concerns: That I'm not living to make each day the best it can possibly be.
Celebrations: Good news for friend!
I can't believe he's almost two! Where does the time go??
I had a wonderful day. My girlfriend took me to Carraba's for a free lunch extravaganza. Talk about fun and delicious! And free! For both of us–mm,mmm!
Tonight we're heading to our church's Harvest Party. It's a hoot!
Try to hang in there. Happy Birthday to B!
Oh wow – he is such a cutie!!
Aww…look at that sweet little face of his. Doesn't it seem like just yesterday they were these tiny bundles? And now they're running and talking…and getting into everything.
Happy early birthday to Brogan!
Aw! Happy almost B-day Brogan! You're right Katie time flies without our permission doesn't it?

Care: the my inbox is anemic.
Concern; that my inbox will not make me happy before Halloween.
Celebration. My two youngest boys each got a bull elk last week and they come home tonight! I miss them and my handsome husband. =)
Oh. My. Gosh. Your son is adorable! π
My cares and concerns are many today…mostly revolving around potty training my son. Been at it since Wednesday, and let's just say I'm about to lose my mind. I thought he was ready, but now I'm not so sure. If he doesn't show progress by the end of the weekend, I'm bagging it until HE initiates it. π
Katie, Brogan not only has a beautiful name, but he is SO very PRECIOUS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROGAN!! I love your care. Keeping my eyes focused on Jesus applies to me, too. Besides my cares about my sweet Christopher.
Concerns? Christopher and I'm querying girl. Need I say more? π
Celebrations? You. You and a few other bloggers (Karen Lange, for one) that have come into my life and made it all the more richer. Thanks Katie. For all your prayers. And for all your love. You give so freely. Celebrate that precious son of yours, all weekend. π
And ahem, GO CANES!
I like your care for this week: Keep my eyes on Jesus.
Concerns: Some difficult conversations that have to happen sooner or later. Wisdom & love for when they do.
Celebrations: My characters are becoming more 3D and plausible!!!!! I'm so excited. It's starting to make sense! Also: Hubby and I are both over the colds we had.
Brogan's ADORABLE! Happy birthday little man!
Yay for the encouraging email!
Wow, that the little man is TWO!
Sigh. How do you manage to look so gorgeous so soon after giving birth???
LOL about Hawkeyes and Badgers. Tell him to root for the Jayhawks! π
Haha, your Concerns part made me smile. What an adorable child!
Your little man is adorable. Is he smiling in his newborn photo? My goodness, what a snuggle bug.
May God bless him. May he grow to love the Lord, appreciate the the gift of his parents, and become a strong leader in the kingdom.
Go Hawkeyes! π
No wonder he love pumpkins–he's one himself–what a little angel man.
My brother cannot walk, his back is so bad, and he's waiting for the dr. to schedule an MRI, which is taking forever. This is my concern right now, and that he doesn't know Jesus.
Celebrating all the words God has given me this month.
Happy Birthday, Brogan!
Happy Birthday, Little B!!!!
Cares…Eyes on Jesus
Concerns…sick kids
Celebration…God never ceases to amaze me that He uses us to accomplish His purpose. Another family made this week through adoption.
Oh my goodness–what a cutie!
Very cool about the email.
Cares: I'm with you. Eyes on Jesus!
Concerns: Me without Jesus.
Celebrations: I'm excited for a good friend (can't expound yet).
My three-year-old cracked me up the other day. I kept saying how Korah (our dog) is "the best dog in the world." Then she repeat after me and promptly followed it up with, "Jesus is the best dog in the world." Oh, much to teach. So much to teach. π

Ahh. I love the pictures of your little man! Hope he enjoys the pumpkin patch and has a happy birthday.
Oh he loves Thomas the Train too? My grandson turned three recently and that's all we watched together and he is just now outgrowing it. Happy we are into Bernstein bears now!
I just realized from Facebook you are only two years older than my daughter. Wow. You make me feel old!
Celebration today–last night I agreed to teach at a conference. Gonna die doing it but stepping out in faith.
What beautiful pictures of your beautiful boy!
"Two whole fingers." Love that. Happy Birthday to the little man!
