Cares:
I submitted Beneath a Velvet Sky to a few people yesterday. Eeek!
In the spirit of Follow Friday, allow me to suggest stopping by Nicole Baart’s blog. She is one of my favorite authors. She writes literary fiction for Tyndale. Her prose are amazing, her stories gripping, and her blog lots of fun. She discusses everything from her writing, to her family, to excellent food recipes. Plus, she’s an Iowa girl, just like me.
Concerns:
I’m sitting here, racking my brain for a concern….. I got nuthin‘.
Celebrations:
See concerns
Yesterday, one of my short stories, Goodbye Gavin, was published in CFOM’s October issue. I’m planning on making it into a full-length novel. Disclaimer: Although the short story ends on a sad note, the novel won’t. So all you HEA’s out there, no worries. This isn’t the end of Gavin and Melodi. I hope you enjoy reading it!
Question to Ponder: What are your cares, concerns, and celebrations on this brisk Friday morning?
Wow, I was just searching pictures of you on google for a random reason and I got this!!! OMG!
Elena, your 5th grader

First off big congrats on the submissions and the publication! You rock! Care- I care about my kids new school load. Heaven help us.
Concern- I'm deeply concerned about how the agent who has my proposal will respond. I pray she's the one, I really like her!
Celebration-I finished all that laundry from last weeks vacation. Miracle.
Yay for putting your baby out there! Woohoo!
My concern is getting everything done that I need to, and exploring the possibilities of what we spoke about last night. π
Cares–writing hurts. Concerns–writing hurts. Celebrations–writing hurts.
And the hurting is growing me. π
God bless you and keep us posted on your submissions, Katie!

I've enjoyed Nicole's blog. Thanks for the introduction awhile back.
Way to go: CFOM! And may God be with the agent/editor as they read your novel.
Cares: My house needs some attention. In fact I don't think I ever did any spring cleaning.
Concerns: Dad's update appt. next Tues.
Celebrations: An online publication at Sage Girls Ministry and heard about another in the future. My daughter prayed for a specific need at the dinner table last night.
