You know what would be fabulous? If I could clone myself and have Me One do all the reading and Me Two do all the writing, then have the two get together and chat at the end of each day. Until that happens, I will continue to have stacks of books on my nightstand and never enough time to get through them as quickly as I’d like.
I hope you enjoy my bookshelf and find some new books and authors to read!
I just finished:
- Submerged by Dani Pettrey
- I can’t believe it’s true, but this is the first official romantic suspense that I’ve ever read. I really enjoyed it! I fell in love with the main character, Bailey, and I love how well Dani set up the romance for book 2.
Right now I’m reading:
- Wish You Were Here by Beth Vogt
- Beth is one of three other debut authors who I’ll be partying with on May 15th for the Debutante Story Soiree. I’m about halfway through her book and it’s a super fun read!
- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
- I’m listening to this one on audio and it is 100% gripping. Set in WWII Germany with death as the narrator. Can you say intriguing?
What’s Up Next?
- The Pursuit of Lucy Banning by Olivia Newport
- Night Road by Kristin Hannah
- Sandwich with a Side of Romance by Krista Phillips
- Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren
- Confessions of a PK by Betsy St. Amant
Great for Book Clubs:
- Into the Free by Julie Cantrell
- The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
- Little Bee by Chris Cleave
- Peace Like a River by Leif Enger
All time favorites (I could read these over and over again):
- Mark of the Lion trilogy by Francine Rivers
- I’ve never fallen more in love with a character than I did with Hadassah. The first book, A Voice in the Wind, starts off a bit slow, but push through! I promise you won’t be disappointed!
- Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Guilty Pleasure Reads:
- The Twilight series. I can’t help myself. I love me some Edward and Bella. I will admit, Breaking Dawn got a bit whackadoo.
- Anna and the French Kiss. This is definitely a this-makes-me-giddy-I-can’t-stop-smiling read. So romantic. So charming. So good!
